Skip Kodak, President of LEGO, will delve into the critical need for continuous innovation and change to maintain competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global market.
Skip Kodak joined the LEGO Group in 2002 as Vice President of U.S. Field Sales and has extensive experience in customer development, direct-to-consumer marketing, and sales. In 2008, he became Vice President of global Direct-to-Consumer and Merlin Affairs, overseeing collaboration with LEGOLAND® Parks and Discovery Centers. In 2012, he joined LEGO Group Corporate Management as Senior Vice President for Shopper Marketing and Channel Development. In 2017, Skip was appointed Senior Vice President of the Americas Market Group, responsible for marketing, sales, demand planning, and customer service across North, Central, and South America.
Chris DiPentima, CEO of CBIA, will discuss the strengths, weaknesses, and unique opportunities of doing business in Connecticut, offering an in-depth look at current economic trends and data shaping the state's future.
Chris DiPentima is the president and CEO of CBIA, Connecticut’s leading business organization, representing thousands of member companies across diverse industries. CBIA includes affiliates CONNSTEP and ReadyCT. Previously, DiPentima served as division president of Leggett & Platt Aerospace, overseeing operations in Connecticut, Washington, California, and France. He joined Pegasus Manufacturing in 2002 as general counsel and became president in 2006, leading the company to double its workforce and revenue before its acquisition by Leggett & Platt in 2016. DiPentima has extensive legal experience, specializing in labor, contracts, and mergers. He has chaired CBIA's board, the Connecticut Manufacturers' Collaborative, and serves on multiple state boards and panels related to manufacturing and education. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a juris doctorate from Quinnipiac Law School. DiPentima is admitted to the bar in Connecticut, New York, and D.C.
