Simsbury Fly-In, Classic Car Show & Food Truck Festival Presented by Squadron Capital
The largest event of its kind in New England will be held again this year on October 1 with even more fun for the entire family. Our event is like a special kind of country fair, built around displays of over 700 beautiful airplanes and cars, with 100+ businesses displaying their products, many aerial demonstrations, and an amazing array of 15+ food trucks to satisfy your hunger. Special Attractions This Year: The future is here! Come see an all electric airplane demo, charged by an electric F-150 Lightning Truck, powered by renewable energy. Sustainable and accessible flight. Looking for adventure? How about nothing but a parachute and a motor on your back. Come see the amazing Powered Paraglider demonstration as they show you how close you can truly get to flying with the birds. Want to get up in the air yourself? Rides will be available for purchase in either a helicopter and WWII Trainer aircraft. LifeStar Helicopter (call-out permitting) and the heavy lift Kaman K-MAX helicopters will be on hand. You can see up close how these amazing vehicles and crews serve the community and beyond. The car show which attracts over 450 cars each year will have trophies awarded in over 30 categories to best in class. Other attractions throughout the day include; engine demonstrations, car and aviation related seminars, live music, gyrocopter demonstration, drone demonstration, and a formation flying demonstration by the Yankee Clippers.
